A break from TCD...time to see if I still know how to draw anything other than in the chibInoni style... (heh, dunno what else to call it) ^^;

......I included the following ginormous description because I wanted to, not because you necessarily need it. :shrug: XDD Dang, it turned out long.

It's funny, I created a backstory for one of my original characters QUITE a while ago, but really didn't delve into it much. Recently, though, I've revisited both the character and his backstory, and realized just how darn awesome I could MAKE that backstory...lots of potential, fun enough stuff to stand alone in its own story. :nod: I owe *lone-momo big...I probably wouldn't have revisited this story if I hadn't stumbled across her awesome demonic/angelic drawings.

So yeah. Know anything about Zoroastrianism? This story is pretty much...THAT. I mean, it's not exactly like the real religion, there are a few adaptations I've made to make it more...well, mine, but most of the names and some of the concepts remain the same. I focused chiefly on the Amesha Spenta, six divine, angel-like beings who promote/embody various ideas and elements, the Yazata, the lesser angels who serve the AS, and the Daeva, basically the demons who are in direct opposition with the morals of the divinities (supposed to be a Div for every Yazad or somethin'). That's the gist, anyway.
Haha, back in my old backstory I didn't do designs or drawings or anything...just had the concept worked out.

But NOW I've gone back and added a bit and have finally drawn some of the characters. I've only really doodled chibi designs for the Amesha Spenta, except for, as you can see, Shahrevar. I dunno why, but once I drew his chibi I went...EEEE! :excited: *glomp* x3 Yeah. Instant favourite. Uh. Right, so he's the AS whose name means "Desirable Dominion" and represents Divine Strength sovereignty of the Divine...I've interpreted him to be the sorta law enforcer, y'know, in charge of actually going out and fighting the Daeva...he is, after all, lord of warriors and protector of the poor/weak. Ah, and he is associated with minerals (metal and stone, that is) and with the sky (which was once thought to be metal, heh). So I instantly think, Hey, weapons! =D

So...here he is. I'm pretty happy with this. Probably'll colour it. My only problem is with the wings...wings are damn hard. >.<
WAIT! That's not my only problem. My other problem is that I didn't really have a clue what I was doing with the Farsi. :o I tried writing his name...can't guarantee it came out right.

All hail the ChibInoni style! =D

It's a good style.

Though this is, too... :shrug:

Pandora's box was opened loosing the evils of mankind upon the world. At the bottom lies only the forgotten hope of Nations and men. The ironic Key, to the very box, lays locked within it's confines.

A Stray L.
The stray L born of Pandora's suffering.

Zoroastrianism (and all those other old religions) is so cool. I mean most modern religions are somewhat boring in comparison, I think.
LOVE his outfit, though. ^_^ And I think you did a good job on the wings - Not like they have to be physiologically perfect anyway. I always assume that winged-like people fly via magic generated by their wings or something like that. :P

I'm not strange, I'm just strange.

Very nicely done but I think the spelling of the name (in the top right-hand corner) is incorrect. Where you trying to go for Urdu, Farsi, Arabic or Pahlavi? I'm not 100% certain you may have it right, but if you want I can check for you. My Pahlavi is rusty but the other three can be done no problem ^^; How do you want the name pronounced?
