GO - Didn't you have a flaming sword? by Inonibird GO - Didn't you have a flaming sword? by Inonibird
Eventually Crawly said, "Didn't you have a flaming sword?"

"Er," said the angel. A guilty expression passed across his face, and then came back and camped there.

"You did, didn't you?" said Crawly. "It flamed like anything."

"Er, well—"

"It looked very impressive, I thought."

"Yes, but, well—"

"Lost it, have you?"

"Oh no! No, not exactly lost, more—"

"Well?"

Aziraphale looked wretched. "If you must know," he said, a trifle testily, "I gave it away."

Crawly stared up at him.

...This was just going to be a sketch. :|
I'll be in my corner imploding now.

Huh, I've never seen a red Crawly before. I really enjoy the way you've drawn Aziraphale, too. That look on his face, and his hair; he's adorable. <3

I've noticed that I tend to absolutely freaking love your 'intended to be just a sketch' pictures. This is no exception, especially since it's a Good Omens picture. DRAW MORE OF THEM PLEASE.

I love it! Love Aziraphale's face and the way you've pictured Crawly. It's brilliant! And Aziraphale looks just the way I imagined him :)
"A guilty expression passed across his face, and then came back and camped there." Oh. This made me laugh for a while
(I will be ranting a bit right now, sorry) I've read this book translated to Polish. It's still wonderful, but there are many mistakes and many things were lost. This bit just reads "Aziraphale looked like someone caught red-handed". And that's all. Nothing funny about it. Then there is Crawly/Crowley name. In this version he is called Crowley from the beginning, but the sentence about him wanting to change his name is still there. Or the part about Aziraphale being "gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide". This bit re-translates from Polish as "funnier than drunk chimpanzees". I had nothing against it, but then comes the counter-argument to that: "Angels are asexual". I remember I was like "What the hell? What does it have to do with anything?" until I've read that quote in English somewhere on the web. Or ridiculous mistake in the scene where Famine signs package delivery - it's said he signs it with a six letter word. Makes sense in English, but in Polish famine has four letters (głód). He still signed with a six letter word.
How I wish one day this book would be translated again by a guy that translates Discworld. He's flawless. And I should finally get myself the original, but when I was first reading it I wasn't too good at English.
Again, sorry for the ranting, but I had to say it out loud. Plus, it's past 1 a.m., so I'm in a ranting mood.

If it makes you feel any better, the official German and unofficial Russian translations are just as horrendous.

People should just freaking learn English just to read this book. :D

Not that my opinion matters.... -_-
