SURPRISE!!!
That's right, this strip is up a whole day early! Not to mention it's like no other strip before it, bwahahahaha!!!  Anyway, you may wonder why it's early...well...from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, I'm off on a tour with our University's a cappella choir  so I thought, hey, why not give everyone a new strip rather than a crappy last-minute filler thingy?   This was a very interesting strip to work on...the background was a pain, but so worth it in the end. Yay for what I HOPE the Tell Atlas mountains in Northern Algeria look like...hehe. I'm a research fiend, it bugs me when I can't find good reference piccies...  Um, as for the dialogue/thoughts...this...just...this is just what the Cobra Unit members are thinking at this given moment. It tickles me to death, maybe not the rest of you...but I like it, so gnark.  Ah, and The Philosophers are elaborated upon a bit (for those who have played the game and wonder where this "council" is coming from, that's just the informal way of referring to the Committee in my little MGS world ^_^;; )...and, uh, I hope everyone remembers who Harshman is. Oh well.Okay. I'm off to go sing for the weekend. I'll jump right back into more "conventional" strips starting next Monday, seeing as I've FINALLY planned ahead (and even drawn ahead, yippy-skippy!)  [next] [previous] [first] despite all this, The Cobra Unit is (c) Hideo Kojima, from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (and Konami Co., Ltd., and all that jazz, etcetera) ...but still, "TCD" is my concept, and my personal way of paying homage to Kojima-san and his works |

and then the whole picture loads and I'm like "what a huge panel! what a huge windy and sunny pretty panel! :0 " and yeah. You get the idea I hope, this is a really nice one to look at
Honestly, those mountains could be any mountains I guess, but they look good in all their blurriness. It would of course have been perfect if you hadn't blurred them but provided a HUGE detailed panorama view (maybe so huge that the cobras are only visible just as tiny spots - but still recognizable by their text, which would definitely the case here XD I like the view from behind very much as well. And the wind! *_* )
.... but them again, we all know how much work that would have been
and heeey, height comparison now really comes into being x) I like the lighting here, needless to say. The abuse (XD) of the add-layers here makes this look like a nice morning sky
