Just watched The Thief and the Cobbler (the Recobbled Cut, specifically; not that other crap!) and woooooooowwww. 
Underrated masterpiece. Makes me proud to be into/interested in animation.
At any rate, cute as the Cobbler is, the THIEF is one of the greatest characters/designs in animated history. No joke. No exaggeration. Pantomime at its finest.
